BULLETIN:
Study of sequences, series, polar coordinates, parametric equations, and vectors. Prerequisite: MATH 281. A graphing calculator is required. For specific recommendations see the Department of Mathematics World Wide Web site (http://math.wallawalla.edu).
OBJECTIVES:
After finishing this course, the student should be able to understand the concepts of sequences and series, convergence and divergence of sequences and series, the representation of functions by series, and applications.  In addition, the student should be able to solve probems in and to organize and effecttively communicate ideas involving:  polar, cylindrical, and spherical coordinates; parametric equations, vectors and the vector calculus in two and three dimensions.

Late homework (MORE THAN ONE CLASS DAY LATE) is deducted at the rate of two points per class day late --- see me about late work due to illness.
Paper should be approximately 8.5 by 11; one or both sides may be used.
Must be neat.
Must be done in pencil to be accepted.
Due at the beginning of the class period.
Papers are to be folded as a book with name and assignment number on the outside as illustrated.
GRADING: Homework:  20% of grade (lowest score is deleted).

Hour Exams:  16% + 16% + 16% = 48% of grade.

Final:  32% of grade.
