BULLETIN:
|
[The
third
quarter of the] Study of functions of one and several
variables including continuity, differentiation,
integration, infinite series, uniform convergence, and
selected topics. Prerequisite: MATH 452.
Offered odd years only.
|
OBJECTIVES:
|
After
finishing
this course, the student should be acquainted with the
elementary topological properties of Rn
and how the ideas of differentiation and integration
translate from functions of a single variable to functions
of more than one variable.
|
HOMEWORK: |
Assignments are
due weekly on Thursday at the beginning of class.

|
TOPICS
&
ASSIGNMENTS
|
Late homework is deducted at
the rate of twenty percent (20%) per class day late --- see

Must be neat. |
Must be done in
pencil (Alt: Homework typeset in TEX
rewards the submitter with 2% extra credit per problem
-- what are you waiting for?)
to be accepted. |
Each problem is
graded out of 10 points.
|
Papers are to be
folded as a book with name and assignment number on the
outside as illustrated. |
GRADING: |
